Mirai Dench, a tenant in the park

The waste to electricity gasification plant was fabricated by Mirai Denchi Nig Ltd a tenant in Lion Science Park and a subsidiary of Mirai Denchi Inc, Japan, a company collaborating with Laboratory of Industrial Electronics, Power Devices and New Energy Systems (LIEPNES) in the Department of Electrical Engineering, University of Nigeria, Nsukka. The plant converts processed solid organic wastes called RDF (Refuse Derived Fuel) to Syn-Gas which is then used to power a Generator set for electricity generation. The solid organic wastes processed to RDF include, but not limited to, rice husk, saw dust, wood chips, domestic wastes, etc. The plant is one of the major achievement of the company, Mirai Denchi and the Lab, LIEPNES in their collaborative effort.
