Dr. Paul M. Ejikeme

Paul Ejikeme hails from Ojoto in Idemili South LGA, Anambra State. He attended Boys Secondary School Ojoto, St Charles’ Special Science School, Onitsha, University of Port Harcourt and University of Nigeria.

He started his carrier at the University of Nigeria as an Assistant Lecturer in 2001 and became a Senior Lecturer in 2008. He was a fellow of UNESCO- ICTP in 2011 and a fellow of both NRF South Africa and the University of Pretoria for his Postdoctoral Fellowship in South Africa from 2013 – 2015. Paul teaches and does research in Industrial and Physical Chemistry. His research interests include: nanomaterials synthesis and characterization, fuel cells, supercapacitors, renewable energy, corrosion inhibition and surface phenomenon, with a modest research output of h-index (18); i-10 index (24); 880 Citations since 2009 in Google Scholar @08/08/2018, and RG of Score (21.89); Impact points (35.51), and Percentile Score higher than 75% of ResearchGate members’ in UNN. He has, with colleagues in NanoResearch Group UNN, retired grants from US Army Research Laboratory and is currently holding two grants from TETFund-Nigeria on nanoenergy research, and one from Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB) in collaboration with Oilserv Group of Companies. Dr. Ejikeme is a member of Polymer Institute of Nigeria, Chemical Society of Nigeria, Royal Society of Chemistry Britain, New York Academy of Sciences NY, The Electrochemical Society Pennington NJ United States, South African Chemical Institute, International Society of Electrochemistry Lausanne – Switzerland, and Institute of Chartered Chemists of Nigeria. He has successfully supervised one (1) PhD, two (2) Masters Research projects to date and over 50 undergraduate projects, and is currently supervising twelve MSc. and nine Ph.D students. He has published over 55 peer-reviewed journal articles in reputable national / international journals, three book chapters, and has presented over 45 papers in conferences/workshops, nationally and internationally. He is currently a member of Board, Lion Science Park University of Nigeria. He has served as Assessor/Reviewer for Department of Education and National Research Foundation of South Africa, External Examiner to Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria and reviewer for many Elsevier and Springer journals, and a Member Editorial Board, Journal of Renewable and Alternative Energy Technologies. He has served in many University committees (Senate Entrance Board, Senate Curriculum Committee, University Committee on Nuclear Energy and Climate Change etc) and is currently the National Treasurer, Polymer Institute of Nigeria and Chairman, Chemical Society of Nigeria, Enugu State Chapter, Secretary, Progressive Union Ojoto, Assistant Secretary, Ojoto Town Consultative Council as well as Publicity Secretary, United Elites Association Ojoto. His hobbies include travelling, listening to music, and watching good football.
