Mrs Chinedum A Akwara

Mrs Chinedum Agatha, Akwara is alumni of University of Nigeria, Nsukka. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree (B.Sc.) in Political Science and Master’s degree (M.Sc.) in international Relations with extensive knowledge and experience in banking and project planning and implementation.

Chinedum have had years of experience executing project delivery for Department for International Development (DFID) Roll Back Malaria funded program as Program Officer where she worked with wide range of stakeholders locally and Internationally including high level government officials, traditional and religious leaders, women groups and civil societies across Nigeria. She also served Fidelity bank plc in leadership capacity.

Currently, she is the Manager of Lion Science Park, the first university embedded and internationally recognised-science park in Nigeria. An affiliate member of the International Association of Science Parks and Areas of Innovation ( IASP).

As part of her civic responsibility, Chinedum is the founder and Board Chair of Youth Discovery and Development Initiative, a non – profit making organization dedicated to helping the youth improve on their belief in their personal worth through providing educational opportunities, skills as well as teachings on financial discipline for sustainable success. She is a passionate advocate for nation building through youth development.
